I work with paint, fabric and furniture.
For most of my life I’ve been interested in stylized imagery, particularly of animals. As a child I was fascinated by folk art and historic art from around the world.
Work
Over the last decade I have experimented with upcycling furniture — sculpting tables and designing fabric for found chairs. About two years ago, I began painting canvases depicting totemic beasts. I became interested in the relationship between the fabric I was painting onto and the fabric I was designing to stretch over furniture.
