Recent Paintings
Since childhood, I have happily doodled, scribbled, sketched and painted on paper with pencil, pen, ink, paints, Copic pens – you name it. But there was always something scary about the formality of a stretched canvas. That ended in 2022, when I began painting with oil and acrylic. I’m a magpie when it comes to painting. I have unashamedly borrowed and stolen ideas or motifs wholesale from others, among them: The Bible, Paul Klee, William Blake, Stravinsky, Louis Renard and the Aztecs.
